Clinton County Electric Cooperative’s Board of Trustees approved a one-time $200,000 refund back to their membership at their Regular Board Meeting held on November 24, 2015.
Members will see their portion of the refund as a bill credit on the bills due December 28, 2015. The average single phase account will receive a bill credit of approximately $25.00. The refund will appear on the bill as “2015 Patronage Refund.”
CCECI Board Chairman Vernon Mohesky stated “Our Operating Margins are over budget for the year and we felt it best to return those dollars to the membership this year instead of retaining them for future patronage retirements.” He further stated, “Since the bills will be due near Christmas, our thought was the bill reduction would help the membership in a possible time of need.”
Please note the Cooperative wants to ensure the membership understands this will not be an annual occurrence.
