The Clinton County Electric Cooperative’s Board of Trustees recently appointed Bob Kroeger as its newest President/Chief Operating Officer.  Bob succeeds Mike Johnson who resigned from CCECI on July 31, 2016.  Bob has over 23 years of experience in the rural electrification program, with the last 16 of those years spent at Clinton County Electric Cooperative.

Bob earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.  He started his career in the cooperative arena at Egyptian Electric Cooperative in Murphysboro. During his 7 years of employment at Egyptian, he worked his way up from Staking Engineer to their Assistant Engineer. In 2001, Bob was hired as CCECI’s Engineer and had recently been promoted to Manager of Engineering & Operations.

In the past, the Board and management of CCECI have used the phrases “safe and reliable” and “fair and reasonable” to guide them in their decision making, and Bob plans to continue down that path. He said, “Most importantly, I will continue to be committed to the safety of the members and employees.  I will continue the upgrades and improvements to CCECI’s infrastructure through programs such as the Copper Replacement and Pole Testing/Replacement Programs.”  Bob went on to say, “I will also work to maintain financial stability through fair and reasonable rates and I look forward to serving the members of CCECI.”  Bob’s responsibilities as President/COO began on October 1, 2016.

Bob is the son of James and the late Kathy Kroeger of Hoyleton.  He resides on a family farm west of Hoffman with his wife Joni and their children, Mitchell and Madylin.
